Q. Where can I find affordable Internet Access (Broadband)?

1.  Apply for the Emergency Broadband Benefit

Many QVCC students may be eligible!  You can get up to a $50/month discount on new or continuing internet service through your current or a new provider.

Who is Eligible?

You are eligible if any member of your household meets any of these criteria:

  • is a Pell Grant recipient, or
  • participates in the free/reduced school lunch program, or
  • participates in or receives benefits from SNAP, SSI, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans Pension & Survivors Benefit, and Tribal programs (if living on federally recognized Tribal lands), or
  • lives at or below 135% Federal poverty guidelines, or
  • has experienced substantial loss of income due job loss or furlough since 2/29/2020 (with certain maximum income limitations), or
  • or if your household qualifies for the Lifeline program.

2. The QV Library has a FREE hotspot-lending program.

Students registered for courses may borrow a hotspot for an entire summer term or the entire fall semester.  Contact the library and provide your name, Banner ID, phone number (if available) and email address. Also tell us the town where you will most often use Internet for coursework (we lend Verizon and TMobile devices and coverage is different by town).
